ASD 522 / 523 / 524 The Bartered Bride Boxset , ...Performed by The Bamburg Symphony Orchestra ,conducted by Rudolf Kempe..... ... ,Original Gold and White label , ..
... This is a 3 LP set in its original Box , the box is in overall EX condition however the 2 corners of the hinged lid are split. The 2 corners furthest from the hinge are NOT split ....so in light of the splits the box is graded VG+. ...There is also a leaflet that came with this set
All three records are in EX+ condition , the LPs play only on 5 of the 6 sides and intrestingly on the third LP on side 6 where is is no music to play HMV have done an etching of "Nipper The dog" on the vinyl itself...this etching is simular to modern day "lazer etching" that you occassionaly see on records .....but I dont know how this was acheived back when this was manufactured back in the 50's !!! ...The detail is incredible !!!
I recently aquired a supurb collection of orginal stereo SXL / ASD / SAX etc from a lady who worked in a large London record shop from the 50's onwards , her department was the Classical section and as such she was able to buy many of the now rare Classical LP's , she has kept them all in Excellent condition , both sleeves and records. Some of the LP's have demo "Sample Not for Resale" stickers on one label , on the LP's where this is relevent I have shown the stickered side label , the other label is clean of any stickers ...
