Description
A rare treat on offer here, namely an original HMV EMI stereophonic 3 lp box set of Haydn's, 'The Seasons', with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Beecham Choral Society conducted by Sir Thomas Beecham.
Originally released in 1959, this set is in fantastic condition and comes complete with it's libretto (although the centre page of this has become detached from the staples due to it's age), and all 3 records are in stunning, near mint condition. The box itself is showing some storage wear to it's edges (some of which is visible in one of the pictures below) but it has done a sterling job of protecting the contents, which still includes the cardboard and tissue paper dividers.
The records themselves are, as stated above, in absolutely stunning condition, regardless of their age, they still gleam like new and show barely no spindle marks - I would be surprised if they have seen usage on more than one occasion. They are still housed in their original 'Emitex' branded poly lined inners, although I have professionally cleaned them using a VPI HW-17F vacuum record cleaning machine and placed them in brand new Nagaoka anti static inner sleeves - I have taken photos of just one side and label of a record as all 3 records, and 6 sides and 6 labels, are in the same near mint condition.

Side 1: 2YEA 119-5 (near mint - NM)
Side 2: 2YEA 120-1 (near mint - NM)
Side 3: 2YEA 121-10 (near mint - NM)
Side 4: 2YEA 122-3 (near mint - NM)
Side 5: 2YEA 123-1 (near mint - NM)
Side 6: 2YEA 124-1 (near mint - NM)
It really is a beautiful set and is extremely hard to find in any condition at all, let alone in the superb condition that this particular set is in.
