Description
On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Artwoods called 'Art Gallery' and is a 1966 MONO UK 1st pressing!!!! THIS AN EXTREMELY RARE LP AND IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! IN FACT THIS HAS TO BE REGARDED AS ONE OF THE RAREST LPS YOU WILL EVER SEE!!!! THIS IS THE MONO 1966 1ST PRESSING WITH A 1ST PRESS 'ROBERT STACE' LAMINATED SLEEVE, A 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE AND A 'RIDGED' UNBOXED DECCA LABEL!!!! THE MATRIX ENDINGS ARE 1/A & 1/A. THIS LP SOLD TERRIBLY ON RELEASE - AND WAS PROBABLY ONE OF DECCA WORST SELLING LPS EVER!!!! SO TODAY IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO EVER SEE A GENIUNE MONO 1966 1ST PRESSING - SO DONT MISS OUT!!!! This is an ORIGINAL Decca UK UNBOXED 1966 1st pressing and is in GREAT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is LK 4830 on the ORIGINAL UNBOXED 'ridged' Decca Label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Artwoods at their best!!!! Any fan of The Artwoods, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in GREAT condition and plays BRILLIANTLY!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, a couple of tiny marks, a few light hairlines and only some VERY light scuffing (non sounding) only visible under light (Side 1 has less scuffing and it is more like MEGA light paper scuffing, and Side 2 has slightly more light scuffing)!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual (if not better) with NO nasty loud pops, only the VERY occassional brief low level click/pop (NOTHING regular - only a VERY few), NO sticking, NO jumps and NO crackle!!!! There is NO groovewear either and NO distortion and the music is CRYSTAL CLEAR!!!! Even the very innermost tracks have NO distortion!!!! Visually Side 1 is Very Good+ if not better and Side 2 is visually more like Very Good (Minus) (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed), and it is IMPORTANT to NOTE that virtually all the light marks/hairlines are VERY light and DO NOT sound and this record plays BRILLIANTLY!!!! An overall grade for the record visually is Very Good if not better (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed) - with the playing grade better still - perhaps more like Very Good++++ if not better!!!! DONT FORGET HOW RARE THIS LP REALLY IS!!!! IT IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! And while this LP may not be Mint - it does play remarkably well and is still VERY nice looking!!!! DONT MISS OUT!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also has its ORIGINAL inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press Laminated 'Robert Stace' Cover is in GREAT condition!!!! It has NO spinal wear, only a few light creases, only slight corner wear, NO staining, and NO writing!!!! There is also NO edge wear either - apart from from slight roughening (NO splits) to the very bottom edge towards the right. There is also barely ANY laminate glazing AT ALL and the laminate is VERY glossy!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL (only the VERY beginnings of some slight roughening to the edge)!!!! The unlaminated back is in GREAT condition with NO grubbyness, NO writing, NO wear and only some typical VERY slight yellowing (mainly towards the opening edge - but even there it is quite light)!!!! The only minor faults on the cover (both on the reverse of the cover) is a TINY 'rub' mark on the bottom left of the reverse of the cover (virtually INVISIBLE), and what looks to be some kind of 'dirty creaseline' just to the left of the 'Target Design' on the reverse of the cover. These are minor defects though and this is a SUPER RARE cover and still looks VERY nice indeed!!!! The cover must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed) if not better and still looks VERY nice indeed!!!! THIS IS A SERIOUSLY RARE LP - WHILE IT IS NOT PERFECT, IT IS STILL A VERY NICE LOOKING LP, WITH A BRILLIANT PLAYING RECORD!!!! DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLY RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA RARE LP!!!!
