Nine Beethoven Symphonies
7 LP record set in binder.
This is an extremely rare limited edition set of which this is #B904.
Recordings in this set were performed between 1949 and 1952 at Carnegie Hall, NYC.
The condition of the records are NM - M and appear to have never or seldom played. Each record is enclosed in it's own sleeve in a leatherette binder which also contains an attached 24 page booklet pertaining to the composer, director and the performances.
The cover of the binder has a removable medallion of Toscanni's portrait as sculpted by Leonardo Bistolfi. The reverse of the medallion has a facsimile signature of Toscanni.
Please note that color of the binder appears red in the photos but is in fact brown with gold embossed lettering. The binder is also in NM condition with no tears, etc.
This is a beautiful set and as mentioned extremely rare! You would be hard pressed to find a nicer one if at all!
