A stunning find. An unplayed promo from 1967 of Supernatural Fairy Tales by Art.
Original first pressing in MINT unplayed condition.
From the collection of a Sydney radio DJ. I got this along with several other gems 20 years ago. It was unplayed then and remains unplayed today.
Issued in Australia on the Festival label (Australia's biggest indie record label in the 1960s, owned by a young Rupert Murdoch believe it or not), mono FL-32,790 and stereo SFL-932,790. Front of sleeve has a Stereo sticker top right. But the labels have the mono catalogue number: FL-32,790 as this is actually a mono issue.
Labels have the album title as Supernatural Fairy Tale (ie singular) but the cover artwork has the correct title.
Stickered on the Side 1 label with a red sticker that says Sample Record / Not For Sale. Stamped on the back with the words Display Purposes Only.
Flipback single-sleeve cover (ie not gatefold).
Featuring Greg Ridley, Luther Grosvenor, Mike Kellie, Mike Harrison. Forerunner to Spooky Tooth. Connections also to Mott the Hoople and Humble Pie.
Quite a find.
