Red Garland, Paul Chambers, Philly Joe Jones
LABEL: 1957 Contemporary Records S7018 Stereo Black Deep Groove Original 1st pressing.
CONDITION:
SLEEVE: VG Some ring wear, no splits, but edge wear to spine, see photo.
VINYL: VG+ Clean and glossy just some hairlines, one line side two that does not sound. Listen to "Tin Tin Dio" at the 15:00 minute mark, maybe six pops, thats as bad as it gets. This version is fantastic thanks to all the members especially Philly Joe who always pushes the beat.
DESCRIPTION: If you know the story behind this one it's fantastic. Art is playing with Miles Davis's first great rhythm section and the magic is apparant. They groove as if they had been playing together forever. Sound is fantastic with the recording by the great Roy DuNann. Back cover states 8481 Melrose Place Los Angles 16, California.
