Description

  • Another gem from the estate of a lifelong Audiophile and Jazz collector...  We will be listing several more from this collection.

  • ART PEPPER Meets The Rhythm Section LP CONTEMPORARY C 3532 1957

  • Believed to be a 1957 FIRST PRESSING ... Due to the Tri-colored back of the jacket, "© 1957 by Contemporary Records" and "Printed in U.S.A" on back of jacket, as per Discogs.
  • Jacket has moderate wear, no seam splits.  (See pictures)

  • Vinyl is oh so nice!  The original owner played his vinyl on a Garrard 301, and took very good care of equipment and records.  Visually we cannot find any scratches or scuffs in good lighting, however, there are a couple of extremely faint, hard to find paper? rubs, so we'll go with VG+ to be safe. 
  • Sonically the record sounds amazing!  HIGH side of VG+ all the way.  Slight noise in-between tracks but once the music starts, not noticeable.  Wow...

  • The record was given the full four-step Ultrasonic cleaning: Ultrasonic bath with TergiKleen, rinse in distilled water, Vacuumed with Record Doctor, zapped with the Zerostat before placing in a new archival sleeve.  (The original inner sleeve is not present).
