Description

You are bidding on a rare, vintage, jazz LP record album by Art Blakey, entitled, "Orgy in Rhythm Volume 1", on the Blue Note record label, #BLP 1554.  Side 1 label has the address "47 WEST 63rd NYC".  Side 2 label has the address, "NEW YORK USA".  NOTE: The ear symbol and RVG BN-LP-1554-A are etched in the Side 1 trail-off vinyl; The ear symbol and RVG BN-LP-1554-B are etched in the Side 2 trail-off vinyl.  The labels have a deep groove.  The labels are in excellent condition.  The vinyl is beautiful.  Side 1 vinyl is hard to see any drawbacks at all.  Side 2 vinyl is in very good condition due to several circular, light scratches that go around 3/4 of the record.  There is another one-inch light scratch.  The mirror-like vinyl gloss on both sides is tremendous.  The jacket is in very good plus but closer to excellent condition.  The front cover with the photos of Art Blakey playing the drums is glossy with bright and vibrant colors.  There is some fraying on the bottom edge and a 1/8 small start of a split on the bottom right hand corner.  The back side cover has some light soiling against the white background, mostly along the edges.  Please see the detailed photos.  This is a 3-day, no reserve sale.
