Absolutely gorgeous copy of the 1966 pressing of Art Blakey’s amazing Orgy in Rhythm Volume One LP on Blue Note mono BLP-1554. New York labels with 61dt St. address on the cover. Rudy Van Gelder’s initials on the runoffs, which read:

Amazing and highly unique record for Blakey, using lots of rhythm and percussion instruments with some interjections by the likes of a young Herbie Mann and pianist Ray Bryant. Totally incredible sound in mono! And this copy is pretty much mint. The disc looks barely touched and plays flawlessly. The laminated cover is still in the shrinkwrap and almost perfectly pristine as well, except for a name written on the back. The original Blue Note inner sleeve is also included. A truly top, top early pressing. Near impossible to beat.
