Description
ITEM
- Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers - The Freedom Rider
- Blue Note BST 84156 - New York - Deep Groove side 1 - Van Gelder stamp and ear/"P"
- Vinyl is VG with scattered light scuffing and light play wear. Very few actual lines and nothing at all feelable. Name on side 2 label. Not surprisingly it's still a very strong player with some faint background noise in spots that doesn't distract from the all-uptempo set
- Sleeve is rough. Poor. Bottom fully split, top split 5" from opening. Spine intact and legible. Big swath of tape across the back with writing
- Good starter copy for the new or budget-conscious collector. Sold as-is
All records are vintage/original pressings unless noted.
VINYL GRADING SYSTEM. We always describe a record to the best of our ability. Check our feedback for comments from satisfied customers. If we ever fail to meet your expectations, contact us BEFORE leaving feedback and we will make it right!
- NM = A record that all but the most particular collectors would say looks essentially perfect.
- VG+ = Record will show signs that it was played and carefully handled, kept in its sleeve, etc. Will typically retain a nice gloss and may or may not show a minimal/light amount of surface scuffing and/or light non-feelable marks, sleeve scuffs or "hairlines" that should have little to no adverse affect one's listening pleasure.
- VG = Record will have a fair-to-moderate amount of surface scuffs and/or non-feelable or very lightly feelable marks that might affect the sound as frequent or occasional surface noise or occasional clicks, but that does not overpower the music.
- VG- = Record will show heavier wear including noticeable groove wear and feelable marks that will likely pop or click.
- Good = Record will have significant surface noise and scratches and may skip.
- Poor = This record is shot. We will only sell this if it's very rare or collectible, or if the sleeve has value as well. Poor records are sold as-is.
We will also put additional pluses or minuses (i.e. VG++) if a record is on the line between the grade below or above it.
