ARE YOU EXPERIENCED? Jimi Hendrix Experience SHRINK Hype STEREO. 1st U.S. pressing on Reprise Records tri-color label w/ steamboat. Santa Maria pressing from LA California, highly regarded pressing plant, this copy test played, better mix than others I have heard from Terra Haute or Pitman pressings. The stereo version of this album was unique to the U.S. editions, the U.K. originals featured a Mono mix only. Eddie Kramer made a Stereo mix only for the Reprise U.S. and Canadian versions. The cover still has shrink wrap and old price sticker!!
Vinyl in VG+, looks VG++ test played at VG+ with some crackle in quieter sections, overall excellent full sound! These are often beat up, this one was hardly played! Features 1A in the runouts, may indicate 1st stamper or very early pressing.
Cover in VG+ with original shrink wrap and old Woolco price sticker. The shrink is torn at the bottom about 2", otherwise intact. There looks to be some old moisture damage where the shrink stops at the cardboard near the record opening. This caused staining on the front and back about 1" from the opening.
