10,000 Words In A Cardboard Box
EMIDISC Acetate from 1968
A superb Psych track from Twink and Junior Wood of the band Tomorrow, with much sort after session musician Nicky Hopkins on Piano. Tomorrow split in April 1968 and Aquarian Age was the result of the two artists collaborating and writing this song for release in May 1968. Aquarian Age never recorded again and this turned out to be there only single, now worth a considerable amount, both the commercial release and the demo.
The acetate appears to feature a slightly longer mix of the song. The length of the more common release is approx 3.25 the acetate one being 3.41.
UPDATE (8th February) - I have just noticed RM2 hand scribed into the run out area of the acetate. RM means - "Remix from the multi-track tape to MONO" RM1 would be the the first mix in mono and RM2 (this one) would be the second mix in mono. Initially multiple remixes in mono would have taken place until the band or in this case the duo were happy with one of them.
Condition:
Acetate: Very Good Plus - Light hairline marks only, plays superb. Sleeve: Very Good
