The Apartments – The Return of the Hypnotist EP (orig. Australia “The ABEL LABEL” STEREO PRS-2673 / AB 005, with picture cover & newspaper clipping)

Release date: October 1979.  Recording date: May 1979.

 

On offer here is a VERY RARE original issue of the first release (independent 3-track EP) by Brisbane-based INDIE ROCK band, THE APARTMENTS.  This particular copy comes with an ORIGINAL NEWSPAPER CLIPPING advertising THE APARTMENTS support gig to JIMMY & THE BOYS at the (STOCK) EXCHANGE HOTEL in Brisbane.  The band features PETER MILTON WALSH who was also a member of COLORS (from New York), THE GO BETWEENS and OUT OF NOWHERE (both from Brisbane), as well as THE LAUGHING CLOWNS (from Sydney).

Record:

M- visual: beautiful glossy sheen—few insignificant hairlines only; audible: sounds superb overall, some insignificant underlying surface noise on side 2 only (side 1: M-, side 2: EX).  A HIGHLY ENJOYABLE LISTENING EXPERIENCE! ; labels: HARDLY ANY SPINDLE WEAR.

THIS EP HAS HARDLY SEEN THE LIGHT OF DAY SINCE IT WAS RELEASED 30+ YEARS AGO.  IMPRESSIVE COPY – BID WITH CONFIDENCE!
