May 1982 cinched the formation of the long-fermenting Anti-Nowhere League, whose contractually bound punk album We Are... The League caught this local West Sussex group at their snarling, foulest-mouthed peak, smashing to No. 2 on the Independent Chart and climbing to No. 24 nationally. Wth gleeful provocation, the Indie-topping singles 'I Hate People' and their abrasive rework of 'Streets Of London' are heard in finer yet no less gnarly sonic recall here, alongside blasts like '(We Will Not) Remember You' and 'Let's Break The Law'. This 2025 gatefold reissue on Captain Oi! adds two extras: 'Rocker' and the notorious 'So What', later - notably but perhaps under-recognisably - immortalised by Metallica on the Japanese edition of Metallica.
