The reigning Queen of Jazz vocals (and the sole survivor of the three Scat Queens, along with  Ella and Carmen) is presented here on her first-ever 12-inch vinyl album, produced - you guessed it - by Mr. Norman Grenz himself. This is the stuff Jazz history is made of.

On an interesting note: The first song on side 1 is titled “Rock’n’Roll Blues”. Mind you, the year was 1952. Elvis was still wearing diapers, so to say.  Rock’n’Roll wasn’t wearing anything, cause there wasn’t any!! Anita’s song was recorded solid four years before Alan Freed (allegedly) coined the phrase “Rock’n’Roll.  ‘Nuff said!. Rock ‘em, Anita, Rock ‘em all, keep Rockin’ and Rollin’ !!!

·                               CONDITION:

·                               RECORD

(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we  grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL  AS  NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs -  are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible,  and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          The record has a "deep groove" (an indent in the label about 1/2-inch from the edge of the label, which on SOME labels is associated with very early or first pressings).

(c)           The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)          The record has a small cutout hole punched IN THE LABEL AREA and a small peeled-off spot on the label on side 1.

(e)           True Stereo copies of this album are NOT known to exist.

(f)            Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
