Description
Up for auction at NO reserve is "The Velvet Underground & Nico produced by Andy Warhol" on the Verve label, catalog #V6-5008. The LP is VG+ with 2 long light marks. It plays pretty nice with occasional light tics, but I didn't try to clean it. The cover is VG/VG+ with moderate ringwear. There is a one inch seam split at top right. The banana peel was torn, but re-attached and is complete. There is some light wrinkling in the center of the banana. There is some age discoloration along the front left hand side and on the back there is some more, although on the back it is more mottled (uneven) and kind of looks like smoke damage, but not as bad as real smoke damage. I added large pictures so you can click on them to enlarge them and see for yourself and decide how much you want to pay. For those who collect the Warhol cover, you really need to have one with the yellow peel and a peeled one. Please check my other auctions this week for more great Andy Warhol cover LPs, collect a majority of them in one week and save on shipping.
All LPs are shipped outside of the album cover in a brand new sleeve and are packed in dedicated record mailers with sturdy cardboard inserts. Shipping is $7.00 via Priority Mail with delivery confirmation in the US or Airmail to Canada. $14.00 Airmail to Europe, the UK, Asia and Oceania.
