Up for bid is some wonderful music which would touch music afficianados as well as Ballet afficianados This rare album/booklet features Ravel's "Daphnis and Chloe" - A Ballet in One Act. Charles Munch conducting the Boston Symphony Orchestra realizes Ravel vision truly and faithfully. The music contained herein on This RED SEAL RCA VICTOR LM-1893 used an "new orthophonic" high fidelity technique of recording. Its very enjoyable to say the least and definately way ahead of its time. Ravel is brilliant. Record is in Near Mint condition. This is very exclusive issue and cover of it has attached 20 pages booklet with Early drawings of Andy Warhol.
Most everything about this album is in very good shape. The booklet is in good shape as is the vinyl record. There are no stains. There are scuffs and scratches on the vinyl but nothing so major as to impede the listeners enjoyment. It fully played through with no skips etc. It still has somewhat of a glossy luster. This items flaw lies in the 2 right corners of the album which are scuffed and frayed. So I am not going to say that this item is a gem because its in good shape. The Binding and seams are in very good shape. There is no sign of ring wear. Hopefully you can tell by the pictures of its condition before buying. Like I said overall its in very good shape.-------So be that as it may, If after receiving this item the winning bidder is unsatisfied for any reason I am more than willing to work things out.
