ANDREW HILL "PASSING SHIPS" Blue Note 2021 Tone Poet 2-LP Set.
Condition is "Near Mint" or even "As New" as it hasn't been played. I only took it out of the seal because silly me didn't know it was a 3-sided album and the other copy I bought I thought was faulty! This I'm sure is the first and only 3-sided album in Blue Note's history. November 1969 couple of dates at Rudy Van Gelder's Englewood Studio for this nonet produced seven tracks that were criminally left in the vaults until the saintly Michael Cuscuna rescued them for a 2003 release on CD. But this is the album's first ever issue on vinyl. Lovely package.
Hill actually lived to see the release of this album and a whole bevy of other albums that weren't issued at the time of recording, he died in April 2007. It's a special record.
