Up for your consideration is an audiophile pressing by Analogue Productions of the legendary RCA recording of Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra, conducted by Fritz Reiner. I ordered this for a local customer who brought it back the next day complaining that it had clicks and pops on it. I was shocked.....I know Analogue Productions LPs are well known for the quality control. I asked where the noise was and he said it was in a few spots. So I gave him a refund and played it in the store while he shopped. He commented after the first side that he did not hear any of the pops that he heard it home. I just nodded and smiled. I took it home later and played it for a friend (at rather ridiculous volumes) and there are some low level tics (it isn't a CD, afterall). None of them were repeating in nature or above the level of what I would call background tics. I'm fairly certain that the guy who returned it either didn't like it....or should only buy compact discs. LPs are a physical playback medium and while we wish every new record was dead quiet, that's just not real life. Sorry for the long-winded description here, but what I'm getting at is that this record has been played 3 times....and it is not dead quiet like a CD, but if you have been listening to records long enough to understand that occasional light tics and pops are to be expected, this one is likely as quiet as any random brand new one that you may get.

All the LPs I am selling at auction this week are audiophile jazz and classical LPs....many of which are sealed ones that did not sell in my brick and mortar store or open ones that I recently purchased from an audiophile record collector that has decided that high-end analog playback is just costs more than he can afford. The open ones were likely played a few times at the most and should play as well as a new one. Also consider saving me as a favorite seller as I prepare to sell off several thousand jazz and classical LPs in the coming months and years.

I pack records outside of the covers to protect the seams from splitting. They are shipped in dedicated record mailers with padded inserts. I spend a lot of time and money on shipping with care so your record looks as good when it arrives as it did when it left.
