AMON DÜÜL II Tanz Der Lemminge (United Artists 60.003/4) RARE French 1st Pressing MINT-
RARE original French first pressing of "Tanz Der Lemminge" by Amon Düül ll on United Artists Records (June 1971).
Amon Düül II`s third album "Tanz Der Lemminge", a more acoustically-based outing than "Yeti", gave the Bavarian band immortality status in rock`s pantheon once and for all. The cover art (by Amon Düül bassist/keyboarder Falk Ulrich Rogner) is worth the price of admission alone: With its photo-collage outer sleeve and an inner sleeve drawing depicting the panels of a fantastical UFO with views of the outer reaches of space, it is an uncannily precise depiction of the music contained within.
GRADING:
MINT- COVER. Original laminated gatefold sleeve with two small creases to the spine. Also has a very slight ring imprint to the laminate of the front sleeve only. Please see photos for details.
MINT(-) RECORDS that look practically unplayed!
The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "A-1"/"B-1" and "A-1"/"B-1", respectively. This shows both records to be original French first pressings!
PLEASE NOTE: Over the next few months, we will regularly be offering a number of rarities, mainly progressive and avantgarde records: A very discerning, long-time collector friend left us his treasure chest! Not only are many of these lps extremely rare, they are almost all in MINT(-) condition - both inside and out.
As we slowly inch our way closer to spring, we will be spreading the goodies out, in no special order. Suffice to say that the best is still to come!
