I will declare a lower amount on the customs form for all countries so as to avoid/decrease high import charges. However, in the case of the EU all purchases are subject to VAT which eBay collect at point of sale. No shipping to Russia currently.
Amon Duul II : Carnival In Babylon A1 / B1 1st Press UK 1972
This first pressing plays to a very high standard with only minimal intrusion. Some light static between tracks and on two or three intros and one click towards the end of S2. A handful of minor statics / light ticks also but overall the clarity and depth of the audio is very impressive. I do think this album is stronger instrumentally than it is vocally but they do bring a very unique sound it has to be said. The vinyl is in excellent condition also.
The fully laminated cover is in superb condition and has only a little wear by the bottom edge on the back cover. The original inner sleeve just has one small side split.

Visual description
The vinyl is in excellent condition with a fine glossy sheen and no marks or scratches. Under a bright light I can only see a few faint hairlines but there is nothing that stands out. There is no groove or surface wear and the UAR labels are near perfect with barely any spindle wear on S1. There is some on S2 but not an extensive amount.
Play grading
The intro on 'CID In Uruk' plays perfectly and the opening 'vocal' section is just as clean and precise. It continues in the same way and the mid guitar solo is superb. The next vocal passage again has no intrusion and what you really notice is the warmth and the depth of the audio throughout this track. There are a couple of barely audible statics in the brief acoustic section close to the end but the remainder then plays with impeccable quality. A Mint- start to the album.
The opening vocal on 'All The Years 'Round' plays so clearly with barely any static and the next is just as impressive. There are a handful of minor statics in the next verse and some light statics during the quieter vocal but they are hardly intrusive in my opinion. The louder vocal / instrumental sections play with supreme quality and the closing section is a case in point - it plays with superb audio. 3/4 ticks on the fade out also. I will grade this as ranging between Ex+ and Near Mint
The acoustic intro on 'Shimmering Sand' plays very clearly with only minimal light static and the opening vocal section has no intrusion. It does sound a slightly 'muddied' but I'm sure that's more to do with how it was produced, it's only a minor issue. Funnily enough the next vocal section plays with exceptional clarity and the spoken section is the same. The remainder plays to a very high end standard with zero distortion. The intro here is Ex+ and is Near Mint from then onwards.

The intro on 'Kronwinkl 12' has only a little static at the start and as the drums kick in the playback is superb. The opening vocal section has no intrusion either and it continues to play with impeccable quality. The clarity, depth and resonance of the audio could not be any stronger and the closing instrumental is a prime example of that. The intro is Ex and from then on is Mint- at the very least.
The acoustic intro on 'Tables Are Turned' has barely any background Knaup's opening vocal is flawless. The mid instrumental plays with stunning precision and the next vocal section again has zero background. To the end it plays so clearly and Mint- is well deserved here. The intro on 'Hawknose Harlequin' has only minimal light static and the opening vocal section is close to perfect with only a couple of light statics. Remember this section is long and overall the clarity is stunning. The psych instrumental that follows is very clean with no ticks, clicks or pops. Great guitar work with a deep accompanying bass sound. As it descends into near silence there is barely any static and the final section then plays very clearly for the vast majority, there is just one click sound. In essence this is the only intrusion across the entire 9+ minutes. Most here is Near Mint but I will grade the end section as Ex
The Gatefold & Inner Sleeve,
The fully laminated cover is in excellent condition with only minimal wear. The top edges are extremely clean and the bottom edges have only a couple of minor rubs. The wide spine is superb and all the corners are in great shape also with very little wear. The opening edge has no obvious handling wear and the front cover is as close to perfect as is possible. The back cover does have a small number of rubs / small scuffs near the bottom edge and a laminate crease near the top but is otherwise in excellent shape. The inside of the gatefold is in superb condition also and the inner spine despite being laminated has no damage. A fine example overall.
The poly-lined plain white inner sleeve has just one small side split but aside from that is in great shape with no marking and very little creasing.
Play tested on my Rega P2 with AT-VM95EN Cart / Denon PMA-520AE Amp / B&W 684 Speakers

Postage & Packaging
I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
