Description
This is a fine copy from an early reissue of the rare debut LP by Dallas psych group American Blues, originally released in 1968. The group is remembered today for providing the rhythm section of ZZ Top, but their small-label debut is a good record in its own right, featuring all-out psych tracks like "All I Saw Was You" and a version of Tim Hardin's "If I Were a Carpenter" (which were paired on a single) and more straightforward rock songs like "It's Gone" and a cover of "Mercury Blues." The group went on to release a second LP on the Uni label before folding. The jacket has mostly light ring, corner, spine, and seam wear; light creasing along the spine and seams on the front cover; and light sticker residue on the front cover -- EX(-). Visually, the disc has some fingerprints and light scraping and scuffing. It plays with mostly light surface noise and some popping, but much of this noise (notably the popping) is presumably from the source disc, so graded visually, the disc rates EX(-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
