RECORD CONDITION: NEAR MINT
This is a stunning Near Mint album that looks like it has only ever been played once! That’s the firm evidence you get from studying the spindle area, where one clear mark on both sides can be seen as the only evidence of this record ever being used. Elsewhere, you could try and find some paper scuffs or brush marks but even these are hard to spot, there are a couple of small ones but that really is it! This record just looks so clean and un-touched it’s incredible, I don’t want to keep mentioning the age of things in my descriptions as if that should determine the grade (it doesn’t) but the fact remains that this is a 36 year old rare record that both looks and plays like it has only been used once in all of those three and a half decades, incredible! As I just stated, I have conducted a play grade (so technically this record has now been played at least twice, although my play was very careful and hasn’t added to the spindle wear) and I’m thrilled to say that the audio here is just awesome. From near to total silent run-in grooves, you get an albums worth of amazing rock power blasting out of these speakers in high definition sound that can only ever come from good quality vinyl. The whole disc played without interruption, there may have been an isolated pop or click but I honestly don’t remember one….this is a rare record in exceptional condition!
COVER CONDITION: EXCELLENT
This is a front laminate original album cover, with a small cut out circle on the top left of the rear sleeve that allows the colour of the original inner sleeve to show through, here indicating that this is a stereo album. My grade is a really strong Excellent, as there is very little in the way of wear and tear to comment on. All the edges are pristine, there are no unsightly folds, marks, scuffs or tears and the whole package has remained intact. Other than a few light, laminate creases (all very small and minor) there are no real signs that this album sleeve has been handled much. All the colours of the artwork look bright and clean, it is quite simply a record sleeve that has been handled with care.
