Description
e © AP6.0 Decca Emi SAX RCA
It is a pleasure to be able to offer you this fine and very rare set of LPs. Wilhelm Furtwängler conducting the orchestra and chorus of the 1951 Bayreuth Festival in Beethoven´s Choral Symphony ..the 9th. With Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Elisabeth Höngen, Hans Hopf and Otto Edelmann.
On His Masters Voice EMI ALP 1286-87. EXC to Near Mint 1ED First Edition! Covers and sleeves looks so clean and white you should think it was made this year. Absolutely no aging, yellowing or stains. LPs looks just as good.
Please note label on record 1 claims it is made in Denmark. I think it is only the label that is made here for some legal issues. There is no quality difference between pressing or sound between this and record 2 which has UK label. If anyone has some knowledge of this issue please help me out. Covers and sleeves are clearly UK made. My guess is that it might have something to do with import restrictions ..after all we are still quite close to the ending of WW 2 and the consequences of that such as shortage of supplies, restrictions on import of luxury goods and so on.
Condition of item:LP: Excellent to Near Mint no scratches, scuffs anything. Looks extremely clean.
Cover and innnersleeve: All Near Mint only drawback is a tear at the back side of record 2 shown on photos. I can repair it if wanted.
Matrix / stamper: 2XRA 16-2N up till 2XRA 19-2N. all 2N
ESTIMATED VALUE acc to "Rare Classsical Record Priceguide 2004": $720 or 400 UK pounds.
I try to grade the records I sell carefully but to prevent misunderstandings concerning my grading I give you a list:
Mint - only new LP'sNear Mint - top quality for an opened LP, bright, clean, no scuffs or scratches. NM
Excellent - near perfect, minor signs of use but no audible sctratches. EXC
Very Good - some visible surface wear, absolutely playable and most important no wear to the groove. VG (divided in to plus and minus)
Anything below that normallyI don't care to sell. Basically these records was bought for my own use, so I was particularly careful to choose records that had no audible wear in the groove. Actually I find that muchmore annoying than scratches. I hope that clarifies a bit.
If item do not live up to my description I do take it back. Please contact me.
Buy 1-2 LP´s more from my auction and get FREE SHIPPING for these!!
With these heavy old LPs I simply cant keep a secure package below 0.5 kilo where the price divides, I am sorry. So shipping worldwide is for one kilo (app 3 LP) $18. Two kilos cost $28 (+ $ 7 optional insurance as recommended mail). Above 2 kilos the price will vary according to final weight and destination. I will not charge for more than actual weight. This means that if you buy several LP´s you will get free shipping for app 2 LP´s more. European buyers will off course be reduced in shipping depending on country. As a rule buyer pays actual shipping cost.
Please note I offer the opportunity to wait with payment till my auctions has finished, this gives you a chance to use the shipping offer. I do however expect to recieve payment max 3-5 days after auctions end normally around the 25th of the month. Non paying bidders will recieve an alert and be blocked from my auctions.THANKS FOR VISITING MY AUCTION! Please have a look at my other interesting LP´s and albums for sale right now. I normally have a lot of rare or interesting DECCA Deutche Grammophon ERATO Colombia RCA and EMI plus some danish rarities! ..I suggest you use the Ebay proxy-bidding and enter your absolute highest bid if you REALLY wants an item, otherwise you are possibly outrun by the various bidding-robots being used. Just a friendly advice. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!
