Description
Very nice copy of rare HMV mono LP set, ALP 1286 and 1287, Beethoven Symphony No.9 in D minor, Op.125 'Choral', soloists with Orchestra and Chorus of the 1951 Bayreuth Festival, conducted by Wilhelm Furtwangler.
1286 Sleeve grades EX-. It has a little ringwear, a little roughness and light laminate lift to the opening edge and a few very light edge creases, also a little laminate loss to the bottom flipback at rear, but is structurally excellent. 1287 I would describe in similar terms but its colour is slightly lighter than 1286.
Both vinyls in similar EX- to EX condition; sides 1 and 3 are clean with a couple of very light hairlines not affecting excellent audio. Sides 2 and 4 each have a skating mark across the surface which only occasionally causes a click here and there. The audio is generally EXCELLENT throughout.
