THE BEATLES COLLECTION (Parlophone BC-13, UK-only 13-LP complete set, 1978): 14 UNPLAYED MINT DISCS w/CLEAN M- COVERS, INSERTS & BOX!
LOW OPENING BID WITHOUT RESERVE! Here's the entire Beatles UK 13-album collection in UNPLAYED MINT CONDITION! The 1978 UK-only box set has 'em all, from 1963's Please Please Me to 1970's Let It Be. You'll also get the UK-only Rarities LP, which is significantly different from the US album of that name. And all the goodies we loved in 1967 & 1968 are included: the 4 photos & poster from the "white album" & the page of cut-outs (here on pleasing posterboard) that graced Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
We're confident all 14 discs (the "white album" is 2 LPs of course) have never been touched by a phonograph needle & the covers boast fresh, vibrant colors 43 years later. The box has small hinge tears typical for this set (see last photo) so we'll open this outstanding collection at a LOW OPEN without reserve.
American fans owe it to themselves to enjoy the Beatles' magnificent recordings on UK pressings & configurations. Parlophone pressed albums on virgin vinyl, which is MUCH superior to recycled wax used by American record companies of the time. U.S. LPs on recycled wax often have pops and clicks even on new records. NOT SO these UK albums!
All 13 records were mastered from the original EMI tapes, unlike U.S. Capitol 1960s 1st pressings mastered from 2nd- (or even 3rd-generation!) tapes. The American albums sound like mush by comparison. It's a revelation for American fans who haven't heard the UK originals!
And, of course, these are the original song configurations intended by The Beatles, with more tunes on each disc, unlike the "butchered" American Capitol albums...
