For those unfamiliar with the TEST PRESSING market, a brief explanation. The TEST PRESSING is created as a test of the lacquers which are used to press the vinyl, anywhere between 5-15 TEST PRESSINGS are made in order to check the quality of the lacquers and how the overall vinyl run will turn out. It is also believed that because the test pressing is one of the first pieces of vinyl run off of the lacquer that the grooves are deeper, sound is better, impression is stronger etc. because the lacquer is brand new and has not been subtly worn down through the pressing process (one lacquer is only good for approx. 3000 pressings). Because of the extremely limited nature of these releases - they are HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE and EXTREMELY VALUABLE.

These TEST PRESSINGS themselves are from the 2001 Vagrant release of ALKALINE TRIO "From Here To Infirmary" - only 10 test pressings were made, this is one of those ten. The vinyl is in impeccable condition.
