Description
This is ALICE COOPER School's Out LP on Warner Brothers Records BS 2623 USA first white label promotional pressing from 1972 with the pink panties. More details can be found on Discogs release [r2673851]. The dead wax on side 1 is BS-2623-A 40182-1A Side 2 is BS-2623-B 40183-1A. I agree with a quote from Discogs" quality of this pressing is wonderful. Very warm,great detail and impressive stereo imaging." The sound is spectacular. This may be because the WLP's were the first pressings, before the stampers were worn out making millions or atleast hundreds of thousands.
The COVER VG+ cover shows some wear. Short edge creases on the spine with this thin white card stock cover. Two corners a little rubbed. Not VG++ or NM. No splits. No writing or tape. Title on spine is nicely centered but worn.
The VINYL VG Play graded. Visually VG. The record under a bright light has plenty of surface distraction. Most of it is sleeve type scuffing put there are plenty of fine scratches. When I played it, there was some scratchy sound at the start but once the music started , I didn't hear it anymore. I heard some minor scratches in between some songs and a little in a quiet passage. But really, with the quality of the recording, it sounded great. Even with some minor sratchiness. I'll call it VG to be safe. I just bought a VG record on Ebay and I could barely play it. It was a G. This is not like that. No feelable marks or clicks or loud pops. Both these sides are 1A matrix , earliest stampings.
The LABELS Vg++. Side 2 has a little brown spot that I did not attempt to clean off. Under a bright light, you can see some spindle trails ,not bad. Overall, great labels with light spindle hole wear. No writing or stickers. The INSERTS Pink panties. A 2 inch tear between the top elastic band and the upper leg band. That is visible in the photo. Not visible are two 1/2 inch tears on the opposite side. The legs have two stands of elastic banding sticking out but I don't think it is tearing but rather extra loose edge seaming. Still has pretty good pink color. Not as brown as many out there. NO Report card.
The SLEEVE No original plastic round bottom sleeve.
All records will be mailed in sturdy, recycled record specific mailer boxes with extra padding. Discs will be removed from jackets to eliminate splitting caused by transit shifting. I use USPS Media mail. I am happy to combine shipping. The first album is $4.16 and .50 for each after that for a box of 4 records. Lower 48 US states sales only, no international, sorry.
