ALEXIS KORNER - BLUES INCORPORATED - AT THE CAVERN - SUPER RARE 1964 ORIOLE LP:   This is your chance to bid on this mega rarity from the blues legend ALEXIS KORNER.   This great album was released in 1964 in the UK on the independent ORIOLE label.   The tracks were recorded on 23 February 1964 at the legendary CAVERN CLUB in Liverpool. ALEXIS & BLUES INCORPORATED had been a huge success at the Liverpool Beat Festival in 1963 and as a result they played a large number of gigs in the city.
Alexis had not made the band aware of the fact that the CAVERN gig was to be recorded until they an hour or so before the event. The excitement & nervous energy of the event comes through.   Tracklisting: Side One:

VINYL: The vinyl is in pretty stunning condition for an item that is nearly 47 years old. You will be hard pressed to find another copy in such fantastic condition. There are some very light surface marks, but nothing that will affect one's listening pleasure.   SLEEVE: The front of the sleeve is in very good condition. The front laminated cover has a few creases where the laminate has lifted slightly. There is also some corner wear (see photos). There rear unlaminated sleeve does have some ringwear & signs of ageing. The top flipback has suffered some damage being creased & some of the card has been torn off (see photos). The flipback sleeve was manufactured by the legendary E J Day & Co Ltd.   The sleeve is still in a very presentable condition and the faults do not detract too much from this as an item.   Catalogue number PS 40058.   Photos show the actual item: Sleeve & labels:   Detail - sleeve wear (as described above):
