ALEX HARVEY (pre SAHB) 1969 LP 'ROMAN WALL BLUES'

FONTANA STL5534 in V GOOD+ CONDITION

Recorded at Philips Studios, London in 1969 prior to the formation of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, it contains many self penned tracks plus 'Donna' from 'Hair' the musical (Alex was in the pit band in london at the time). Also a great version of 'Jumping Jack Flash'! The single 'Midnight Moses' is also present, I have a mint copy of this single, plus Vertigo single 'Giddy up a ding-dong' 1973, on eBay at the moment.

This is a personal treasure for me as I was privileged to witness the recording of some of the tracks during early 1969. An amazing experience! Tracks were recorded 'live' with Alexs' brother Leslie on guitar. Derek Wadsworth and the guys from 'Hair' added the brass arrangements at a later date. Subsequently I met Alex and SAHB on many occassions at gigs around the south of England.

The record is in V Good+ condition, a small number of surface marks having little adverse effect on the enjoyment of this fabulous piece of music history. The cover is also in great condition for an album of this age. A little damage on the top edge, a short strip of about half an inch of the laminate is missing and one corner has very slight damage. The front and rear have 'normal' suface rubbing marks but again nothing serious.
