Alessandro Alessandroni's Panoramic Feelings returns to vinyl for the first time since its ultra-limited 1971 Canopo release, long prized by collectors of Italian library music. Known for his whistle playing on scores for various films in Sergio Leone's spaghetti Western repertory, Alessandroni exits the dusty saloons here, part travelling beyond the wall to weave lush vignettes from bossa, lounge, psych and funk. It's a studio record through and through, made not for cinema but as a toolkit for editors and broadcasters. With contributions from his vocal group I Cantori Moderni (featuring Edda Dell'Orso and Giulia De Mutiis), it drifts through airy harmonies, dreamy harpsichord textures and subtly cinematic grooves.
