ALBERT AYLER: Bells (ESP 1010, mono)

• Condition : Cover is VG, this is a thick black cover with design silskreened on in yellow ink. The word "stereo" has been blacked out neatly on one side as this is a mono pressing. The top and bottom seams are split and repaired with Scotch tape, this looks a bit raggedy but the front and back covers themselves are nice. There is about a 1" structural tear to lower front at pocket opening, nothing missing, neatly repaired on the inside. The vinyl, strictly speaking, is VG overall, hard to grade as this is a clear vinyl one-sided LP with design silkscreened right onto the blank side of the vinyl. The recorded side plays generally VG++ or so. I have cleaned that side but I don't want to touch the old silkscreen design with record cleaner- the silkscreened side has a bit of mildew spotting or aging visible. This LP was also found with an item of hand-drawn artwork of an unknown person (see pics), signed "Sam Goldin" and also stamped "By Sam Goldin"; I suspect this is one of those NYC sketch-artist renderings of a former owner of the LP that has nothing whatsoever to to with the LP itself, but if anybody tells me otherwise I'll add the info to this page.
• Description : Very rare 1965 silkscreened original. Alber Ayler (sax), Donald Ayler (trumpet), Charles Tyler (sax), Lewis Worrell (bass), Sunny Murray (percussion). This LP is NOT from the DJ collection from which most of the other LP's I am offering originated and is in somewhat lesser shape than most of my other offerings, but it's a very scarce item!

• Buyer pays $7 for priority / delivery conf. shipment OR $3.50 for media mail / delivery conf. shipment in USA; foreign billed at approximate cost (see rates below). Combine multiple wins to save on shipping. PA residents must add 6% sales tax.
• GUARANTEE: Condition of this item is guraranteed to be as stated in the above description. Grading is strict and visual. All used LP's are cleaned on a Loricraft machine before grading. Sorry, I do not guarantee "musical content". If you are going to bid high on an unfamiliar album, consider first checking out the sounds online or via a reissue, etc in order to avoid potential disappointments. You cannot return a record simply because you don't like the music.
• Records are shipped in a cardboard record mailer with sufficient padding, and the disc is removed from the jacket to prevent seamsplits.
