Description
ALBATROSS – A BREATH OF FRESH AIR – Reprise RS 4002.
When Lindsay Bjerre broke up Taman Shud in 1972 he kept bass player, Peter Barron and added drummer, Kim Bryant and formed Albatross. With help from former Tully member, Richard Lockwood + guitarist Gary Fredericks and Glen Cardier they recorded this LP which is now very hard to find. Although a couple of numbers nod a little to country rock most of it is within the “progressive rock” genre. Side two in particular is great featuring the flute playing of Richard Lockwood on three tracks.

The record is in VG++ condition. Has four marks that are not too heavy and that don’t affect playing or listening enjoyment. / The cover is VG+. There are no splits or tears but because it is a very flat cardboard that is not laminated it has picked up some dirt. There is ringwear on the back. The inside of the gatefold is clean with just three or four small silverfish bites. There are a couple of spots of wear and a little fading on the spine.
