"Original UK pressing on the ultra-collectable THEMES Label (TIM 1018) from 1976. Tuff, fluid and aggressive funk/rock project from the master UK librarians with several super-funky trax! All tempos are covered here, from the seriously rawkus clavinet-funk-rock beats and breaks of SPEED RUN, the wickedly deep moog-bass and fender rhodes funk of OVERIDE to the amazing 'party' jam funk of SOUL TRAIN! This is maybe the jewel on the whole Lp as it contains platinum-tipped B-Boy beats on the intro, whistles and a really funky, stop-start, party jam atmosphere! Dope drumming all over this one and Beatheadz need to seriously check-it as the intro is to die for! More killer hip hop drums on THE PICK UP with yet another jaw-dropping intro and breakbeat groove throughout! Superb funky congas and clavinet on the brass laden funker, THE HEISTER! Fat basslines and wah wah clavinet on the jazz-rock work-out, SWEENY TODD! Get the picture now?!?Somebody out there actually said on a Soulstrut Forum thread that this Lp was better than The Drama Suites so go figure?!? Whatever, this is a 'must have' Lp for UK Library fans, DJs and beat-headz!!!"
