On offer here is a very VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Alan Bown Set called 'The Alan Bown!' and is a 1969 UK 1st pressing!!!! THIS LP IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND AND IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPS ON THE DERAM LABEL!!!! NOT ONLY THAT BUT IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN MEGA RARE MONO!!!! THIS WAS ALSO THE ALAN BOWN SETS STRONGEST LINE UP (FEATURING ALAN BOWN, ROBERT PALMER & OTHERS) AND CERTAINLY THEIR BEST LP MUSICALLY TOO!!!! HOWEVER IT SOLD IN TINY AMOUNTS ON RELEASE AND SUNK WITHOUT TRACE. IT IS EASILY THEIR RAREST LP BY FAR AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE!!!! THIS IS THE 1969 UK 1ST MONO PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS DERAM LABEL, 1ST PRESS RED MONO INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS LAMINATED COVER!!!! THIS LP IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND (ESPECIALLY IN MONO!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is an ORIGINAL Deram UK 1st pressing from 1969 and is in GREAT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is DML 1049 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Deram Label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Alan Bown Set at their best!!!! Any fan of The Alan Bown Set, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in GREAT condition!!!! Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, 1 hairline type mark, 3 or 4 light & NON sounding hairlines, 2 or 3 TINY light & NON sounding surface marks, a VERY few light NON sounding scufflines and only a few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! This may sound like a lot - but nearly ALL of these VERY light marks are only visible under VERY bright light and this record retains an AWESOME shine!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the record plays EVEN BETTER than the visual NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss and NO crackle!!!! The WHOLE RECORD is virtually click & pop FREE - apart from the hairline type mark which does cause a few clicks/pops (mainly VERY light clicks) towards the end of one track and into the next. There is NO groovewear either and NO distortion!!!! The record must grade visually Very Good (Minus) (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed) - though the majority of this record plays FAR BETTER than this!!!! THIS RECORD PLAYS BRILLIANTLY!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press Laminated Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a few light creases (cover is still VERY flat looking), and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in BRILLIANT condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, and barely ANY yellowing AT ALL!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!! THIS LP MAY NOT BE MINT - BUT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE!!!! IT ALSO PLAYS BRILLIANTLY IN MEGA RARE MONO - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MASSIVELY RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
