General Artist/Album Info: AFTER SHAVE were ROD on drums, FOUNTAIN on bass guitar and KESSY on all guitars & vocal. This album is one of the holy grails of Swiss Heavy Progressive Psych Music History. It is definitely the best album on the famous Swiss underground label 'SPLENDID records' out of La Chaux-De-Fonds. A must for heavy guitar fans, it’s a raw power trio crusher that blows collectors away at the very first listen. It freaked me out too when I first heard it more than 30 years ago and it’s never left my collection since.

Liner Notes, quote: Once upon a time there were some musicians. Although they knew each other, they played with different groups and, when these groups brake up, they decided to form their own outfit. AFTER SHAVE was born. Our trio has been going for one and a half year now, and on this first album we have recorded a selection of numbers to give you the best idea of the variety of our musical tastes. The tracks which best reflect our dynamic on stage are: ,Skin Deep’, ‚Ride, Ride, Ride’, ‚Near The Sun’ and above all ‚Sweet Home’, in which we have recorded with a slide guitar fort he first time. Since more melodic numbers are put of our scene too, we have composed ‚Amsterdam In My Living Room’‚ ,Paper Woman’, ‚Him’ and ,Pink Rose’ in which you will hear bongos, tambourine, 12 strings, acoustic guitars and vocals. We saved until the last number which shows the real basis of our music: hard rock and blues. We would like to thank all the fans who have given us support and encouragement since the beginning and dedicate this album to all those who have shared our good times and who have given us strength when the going was wrong. unquote

Cover Grade: EX; 100% fully intact fold-out cover, some very faint discoloration (very light yellowing on white front) and a tiny bit of ring-wear on front side. No writings, creases, tears nor any other imperfections at all!

Record Grade: EX; The disc has a very few superficial (inner sleeve) hairlines. The vinyl still shows a lot of lustre and it plays a very strong EX. The hairlines do not affect play at all. Clean labels with very few spindle marks.
