Description

FLY IN THE OINTMENT 7" GLOW IN THE DARK - AUTOGRAPHED

This AFI vinyl is a RARE 7" record from 1995 titled "Fly in the Ointment" on glow in the dark vinyl.

The record is in great condition for its age and it hasn't been played on a turntable in at least 5 years (probably played ~10 times total). The sleeve has some wear around the edges.

Side A. Theory of Revolution, Crop Tub

Side B. Cruise Control, Open Your Eyes (Circus Tents cover)

Note: These AFI songs are different versions from the same titles on the 1996 release "Very Proud of Ya".

As well I had this rare vinyl signed at a July 1st, 2000 AFI concert at the Pyramid Cabaret in Winnipeg, Canada. It is signed by the only 2 remaining original band members, Davey Havok (lead singer) and Adam Carson (drummer). Check out the pic below!

I had the 7" signed before the AFI set, when I saw both Davey and Adam watching another band from inside the crowd with the rest of us. At that time, 5 years ago, Davey was surprised that there were still people with this rare vinyl and wanted to see how well the glow in the dark feature aged, so he put the vinyl under his shirt to be able to get more darkness. He thought that it glowed as much as he was expecting and it still glows today but not quite as vibrantly as it did 10 years ago.
