Description

This is a 12 inch aluminum acetate disc that is recorded at 33 1/3 rpm and is a microgroove (LP) recording. The 7 selections are from the famous Eddie Condon Floor Shows televised during Sep 1949. 


The personnel for Side 1 and the first 3 tunes on Side 2 includes Louis Armstrong, Bobby Hackett, Jack Teagarden, Ernie Caceres, Peanuts Hucko, Joe Bushkin, Jack Lesberg and George Wettling. These performances are from the 10 Sep 1949 tv show. Please note there is not a 4th track on side 1 contrary to what the label indicates.


The 4th track on Side 2 is from the 3 Sep 1949 tv show and Billie Holiday is the vocalist backed by Wild Bill Davison, Peanuts Hucko, Cutty Cutshall, Ernie Caceres, Horace Henderson, Jack Lesberg and George Wettling.


The disc visually grades a nice Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) due to some light scratches and a few occasional clicks that are often characteristic of these discs. There are no cracks or peeling in the acetate. Also, the bottom half of the Side 1 label is coming unglued. The fidelity is quite good as well!
