Not 100% on this title - so make sure you do your research too.
My hunch is that this is an original copy from around the time of release 1979/80. Given the level of preservation - it does tend to make you doubt it's 40 years of age. But most of the attributes are all in line with an original early copy. Label is consistent with a 1st copy. Then, the cover is NOT barcoded - and this puts it into the period '79-'82. Note down at the foot of the cover there's NO mention of SONY [this would be found on later copies]. The text states 'Made In England' - which is more consistent with the 70's. There's a generic inner sleeve included date coded to the late 70's. So, this all makes me think it's original to 79/80. Now, please do check your sources and make sure you are happy with that assessment. Matrix A1/B1.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In great condition and has only seen light use. No signs of obvious marking. I am noticing edge wobble measured at amplitude of 1MM. Thankfully this seems to have very little affect on the audio. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with only slight deviation in a couple of spots. This beast plays loud and proud. To my ears this copy sound like a copy from the period of 1st release. All I can detect was a few crackles in the opening bars of SHOT DOWN & WANT BLOOD. It cleans up quickly though. A couple of ticks in 'GET IT Hot'. Overall a bit of a banger.>>
Cover (Ex) Pretty much perfect the only detractor is a sticker removal top left [the original sticker]. Front and rear are otherwise pristine. Colour retention is close on perfect. No sign of creasing or edge wear. Sharp openings. The spine is 100% perfect. Four pointy corners. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
