Side B, Tracks 1-5: January 11, 1981 (Trinite Stade Municipal, Nizza)

This is one of the coolest lps I’ve ever seen. The entire package is HANDMADE: front & back outer sleeve, custom inner sleeve and labels. All pictures are applied with transparent office tape. Inner sleeve was fed through a typewriter for the text. What a labor of love! (or should I say “labour”?....) It’s hard to tell whether this is the original package or highly customized by an obsessed fan… whatever the case, you’ve never seen one like this before. Side A is Bon Scott era, Side B is Brian Johnson.

Sound Quality:

Golders material: Clean & crisp, definitely through a soundboard, possible FM source.

Waldorf material: Also clear & clean, through a sound board, possible FM source.

Trinite material: Sounds like a good audience recording (considering the time period). A little hollow in the lows and a little scratchy in the highs, but still very listenable. Very good overall for a “tape in the room” recording.

Condition: Outer Sleeve: VG+ This is tough to grade for being handmade, but all seams are sharp, no ring-wear, no frayed tape, all photos are crisp, no creases or tears of any kind. Inner Sleeve: G+ Sleeve is in noticeably used condition, but most damage is on the uncustomized side. Photos and text are uninterrupted, and still clear and clean. Side A: VG+ Only 2 very, very light sleeve scuffs, that play through uninterrupted. Side B: VG- A light sleeve scuff and a few manufacturing dimples. Everything plays through, with a few light crackles; this does not detract from the music.

This has got to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for all of you AC/DC completists! It’s in very respectable condition for any 23 year old vinyl, let alone one that’s as scarce as this one.
