Description
AC/DC debut album HIGH VOLTAGE ORIGINAL ALBERT PRODUCTIONS CASSETTE code 1704 (SIGNED) TC-APLP-009
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A CASSETTE AS PICTURED NOT AN LP.
Here it is folks, I was never going to sell this but decided to move it on to a new owner's home after having it in my possession for over 15 years, and also having sold recently some of my ac/dc stuff that I had in my possession.
It was given to me by a close friend at that time over 15 years ago that had no longer interest in rock music and as a personal present. I recall being told by her that she had originally purchased the tape when it was first released and had taken the sleeve with her at a gig in Melbourne if I recall correctly at some small pub or club where she watched, or should I say witnessed as history would have us say, AC/DC play with Bon SCOTT, on of history's legendary rock singers. She got to talk to the members and had the sleeve signed by Bon and Angus with a pen obtained from the bar. The sleeve has always been housed in it's case regardless of the use of the tape.
I also done a little research and found on wikipedia the following information regarding this specific pressing.
Please click on that link and read or cut and paste it into your bowser.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Voltage_(1975_album)
It states that this specific album was also never released with this sleeve and tracklisting ever on any other pressing in the world except for this first Australian release that also contains tracks on it that were never released for many many years later on special releases as bonus tracks.
I have taken the pic as best as possible without a flash so you can view the signatures and items without any flash back. I don't have a scanner but I can take more pics as possible for you if you email me your email so you can view each item, cassette, sleeve, casing and signatures individualy.
My understanding is that the cassette, sleeve and case are from the original day of purchase.
The cassette has seen better days, the outer casing of the cassette is pretty worn, actually quite worn and with printers fading and rubbing, I have never played this tape ever, so I have no idea if it still plays ok or not. Well, bare in mind it is a thousand years old.
The sleeve is amazingly in great condition for it's age, slick and shiny with no creases other than a small light hardly noticeable crease on the upper spine and very mild hardly noticeable yellowing on the back of the sleeve. I would rate it easily a 8.5 out of 10 for it's age. Signatures are still very clear and readible especially on certain angles.
Cassette casing has lots of marks on it, but no cracks or functionable flaws.
I have described this item to the MOST BEST of my knowledge regarding condition and signatures.
If you have additional questions, please ask before bidding. I will try and answer anything if I am able to.
Also additional pics can be sent upon request and email.
