Description

AC/DC 1st Press OZ LP back in Black EX ’80 Red Albert APLP046 + Inner Hard Rock

Original 1st Press OZ LP released in 1980 on the Red & Yellow Albert Label. Cat: APLP046. Matrix numbers: APLP 046 A MAXICUT/ APLP 046 B MAXICUT. Comes with printed inner bag.
The first sound on Back in Black is the deep, ominous drone of church bells or "Hell's Bells," as it were, opening the album and AC/DC's next era with a fanfare while ringing a fond farewell to Bon Scott, their late lead singer who partied himself straight to hell. But this implies that Back in Black is some kind of tribute to Scott, which may be true on a superficial level black is a funeral cover, hell's bells certainly signify death but this isn't filled with mournful songs about the departed. It's a more fitting tribute, actually, since AC/DC not only carried on without him, but they delivered a record that to the casual ear sounds like the seamless successor to Highway to Hell, right down to how Brian Johnson's screech is a dead ringer for Scott's growl.

Tracks : Hell’s bells/ Shoot to thrill/ What do you do for money, honey/ Giving the dog a bone/ Let me put my love into you/ Back in black/ You shook me all night long/ Have a drink on me/ Shake a leg/ Rock ’n’ roll ain’t noise pollution.
There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has a few light scuff marks that cause a few light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Printed inner bag has a few light marks and is in Excellent condition. Lightly embossed matt black cover has some ring wear, light marks and some tiny surface tears around edges and is in VG+ condition.
