Description
AC/DC 1st Press OZ LP Powerage NM ’78 Blue/Yellow Albert APLP030 Hard Rock
Rare Original 1st Press OZ LP released in 1978 on the Yellow & Blue Albert Label. Cat: APLP-030. Matrix numbers: MAXI CUT BY EMI AUSTRALIA APLP 030 A/ MAXI CUT BY EMI AUSTRALIA APLP 030 B.
This record came from a collection in absolutely stunning condition, many not played at all and most only played a few times at best.
Powerage was a first in the sense that it debuted bassist Cliff Williams, but it really is more of a final curtain to the band's early years. It would be the last produced by Vanda & Young, the legendary Australian production team who also helmed hits by the Easybeats, and it was the last before AC/DC became superstars. As such, it's perhaps the most overlooked of their '70s records.
Tracks : Rock ’N’ roll damnation/ Down payment blues/ Gimme a bullet/ Riff riff/ Sin city/ Next to the moon/ Gone shootin’/ Up to my neck in you/ Kicked in the teeth.
There are no signs of spindle marks on labels. Record is stunning and in Near Mint condition. Cover has very faint ring wear and a small surface tear on bottom left corner and a few tiny crease marks on spine and is in Excellent condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
