Description
ABBOTT RECORDS #1001 Billy King & Fabor Robison Letter To Radio Station for Play This is a very rare grouping of Abbott Records Billy King #1001 "Can't Get You Outta My Mind" & "Sugar Doll" This was released in June 1954 and Immediately Fabor Robison (Abbott Records Owner" Sent this letter to a Librarian of a Radio Station requesting it to be played to the station's audience. The letter goes into the previous success with the CW Field Records and was wanting to show them his first attempt at Abbott Records breaking into the Rhythm and Blues Genre. The letter is signed by Fabor Robison. He also included a prepaid post card that the station could send feedback to the record label. The record doesn't appear to have been played. I took close up of record grooves. This grouping is still intact and record, letter, feedback card groupings are extremely hard to find. There is 1 youtube video playing "Can't Get You Outta My Mind" and it is really a catchy song. I'm assuming that the record didn't do very well and they are extremely hard to find. The record is 10" & 78rpm.
