A Silver Mount Zion (obwohl die Band auf jeder ihrer Veröffentlichungen eine andere Variation dieses Namens benutzt) ist eine kanadische Post Rock-Band mit Mitgliedern von Godspeed You Black Emperor. Ursprünglich als Projekt mit stärkerem Fokus auf experimentelle Klangflächen gestartet, wuchs die Band mit der Zeit um immer mehr Instrumentalisten und Sänger*innen an. Was A Silver Mount Zion (genau wie GYBE) von nahezu allen anderen Post Rock-Bands unterscheidet, ist der offensichtliche Punk/DIY-Ethos, der sich in Inhalten, Ästhetik und auch im Sound niederschlägt. “Born Into Trouble As The Sparks Fly Upward” ist ihr zweites Album und stellt den Übergang zwischen den experimentellen Frühwerken und der Bauwagen-Weltmusik der späteren Veröffentlichungen dar. Bei dieser Version handelt es sich um eine Wiederveröffentlichung auf zwei 10“-Platten in einem wunderschönen Klappcover aus schwerem Naturkarton.
A Silver Mount Zion (although the band uses a different variation of that moniker on every single release) is a Canadian post rock band featuring member of Godspeed You Black Emperor. They started out as a more experimental, soundscape-oriented project, but included more and more instrumentalists and multiple vocalists on their later releases. What sets A Silver Mount Zion (as well as GYBE) apart from basically all other post rock bands is the presence of a strong punk/DIY-ethos that manifests itself in politics, aesthetics and sound. ‘Born Into Trouble As The Sparks Fly Upward’ is their second album and marks the transition between their largely experimental early works and the container crusty world music of their later releases. This version is a rerelease on two 10” records in a beautiful, thick cardboard gatefold cover.

Alle CDs/Platten sind aus einem Nichtraucherhaushalt ohne Haustiere, wurden immer pfleglich behandelt, in Schutzhüllen aufbewahrt und sind daher in sehr gutem Zustand, es sei denn es steht anders in der Artikelbeschreibung (teilweise selbst gebraucht gekauft).
