Description
Up for auction is the rare Elvis Presley album titled "A Date With Elvis" Here is what makes this album so rare:
- 1st - This is the "Long Play" black label version of this album. The stamped number on the vinyl is K2PP-1148-1S and is the first issue of this album. Later pressings were Mono or Stereo. Limited surface scratches, but still in great shape.
- 2nd - This album includes the very rare red content sticker applied to the over stating "Never before released on L.P." and a list of songs. The album jacket is excellent condition with no writting and very limited surface wear. no seam splits and limited shelf wear on the edges. Someone must have hung this up as there is a small hole just above the "E" in Elvis.
- 3rd - This is the rare Gatefold cover (it opens up) with the record pocket being on the top while most gatefold covers opened on the side. Includes a calendar form 1960 and photos from the "Elvis Returns" press conference as part of the 4 sided cover.
- 4th - the original generic RCA inner sleeve is included and is in great shape. Elvis is not mentioned on the inner sleeve.
