A rare chance to acquire a small collection of genuine UK first pressings in VG condition (discogs grading).
eBay only allows me to upload a max of 12 photos so I have used collages of front and back covers and labels. In doing so, some resolution has been lost. Please send me a whatsapp on 0034664102024 if you would like me to send you higher resolution pics and/or if you have any questions.
I imagine this lot will mostly be of interest to serious vinyl collectors/dealers. I am neither. These records were bought by my father as a young man as they were released in the early 1960s and were passed on to me as a teenager in the 1980s as I was starting to build up my own record collection. They have travelled with me through numerous house moves and phases of my life. For the last 13 years they have been with me here in Madrid, Spain where, with another house move imminent, it is finally time for a clear out.
Individually these are all rare and valuable first pressings of seminal albums by bands, the history and importance of whom I needn't go into. The Stones albums are I think of particular interest, all having as they do the early un-boxed Decca "ear" labels. The Rolling Stones no.2 album is further easily identifiable as a very early copy as it has the "blind man" text on the back cover. This passage was quickly removed during the first printing run following complaints and apparently even questions asked in parliament. "A Hard Day's Night" too appears to be a very early copy of the first run due to the spacing on the label. Serious collectors will know what Im talking about. As I mentioned above, I will send more detailed photos on request to help you identify exactly what's what.
I am selling as a job lot for efficiency and to save on package and posting so keep the one you're interested in, split the rest up and sell them on for a profit.
