Description
A vintage treasure! Not sure of the year as the title page is missing or glued down, but early 1950's for sure.
We have a copy of the book/record combination "A Christmas Carol" As Told By Charles Laughton. Issued by RCA Victor on 45 RPM golden records. The discs appear to be in great condition, don't see any scratches, etc, but to be honest, I do not have a turntable on which to test these out. Oh, and the sleeves which hold the two records in the binding have small slots worn through the bottom.
On the other hand, the book section of this combo is in horrible shape! I think maybe the first page was glued to the k side cover, and all you see is "page 2".. no frontispiece or anything. The binding is basically shot, some parts appear to be clinging together simply with the aid of (also vintage) Scotch tape.
Still, for it's age and rarity, quite the item. RCA form #25-9492
