Stanley Kubrick’s A CLOCKWORK ORANGE original 1972 Warner Bros soundtrack LP featuring classical themes and electronic selections performed on Moog synthesizer by Wendy Carlos (credited on this release as Walter Carlos) and Rachel Elkind.
This soundtrack is famous for its bold Moog reinterpretations and cues built around major classical composers, including:
• Ludwig van Beethoven (including the Ninth Symphony theme and other Beethoven based selections)
• Gioachino Rossini (William Tell Overture theme)
• Henry Purcell (Funeral Music theme)
• Edward Elgar (Pomp and Circumstance themes)
Also includes the iconic film use of Singin’ in the Rain performed by Gene Kelly (written by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed).
