Description

Offered here for auction: The extremely rare "A Black Mass" A play by Imamu Baraka (LeRoi Jones). This is an Original pressed in 1968 on Jihad Records. Believed to be Sun Ra's rarest record. Record itself appears to have never been played, flawless condtion scratch free and still as vibrant as the day it was pressed. Sleeve contains slight shelf wear on the upper edge of the paste on cover (see photo). Record features Carl Boissiere as Jacoub, Yusef Iman as Nasafi, Barry Wynn as Tanzil, Elaine Jones as Olabumi, Jaccqui Bugg as Eulalie, Sylvia Jones as Tilla, David Shakes as Beast, Bob Washington as the Narrator, and THE SUN RA MYTH-SCIENCE ARKESTRA.   Buyer pays via PayPal, Money Order or Cashiers check and is responsible for actual Media rate shipping.  Check out my other auctions for more vintage soul, rock and other rare records.
